But this is no time for child's play. The two teens are assigned to a most secret exploration, when the hand of a Nephilim is unearthed in upstate New York. Soon, Arabella and Henry are caught in a fight for their lives as scientific debate swirls around them. Are the bones from a Neanderthal ... or are they living proof of fallen angels, who supposedly mated with humans according to ancient scrolls?
Sent to recover the skeleton, they discover they are the second team to have been deployed and the entire first team is dead. And now they must trust their instincts and rely on one another in order to survive and uncover the truth.

us about your publishing journey…
My
publishing journey has mirrored my writing, twisted and complex lol.
I
started writing seriously in 2005, published with small press in 2006. I did
not belong to any writer’s organizations—I knew nothing about the industry. I
had always been told by English teachers I should write—but initially entered
into medicine.
I have
belonged at different times to RWA, Horror Writers, GIam groups, The
Blueboards. Through these, I learned about craft, the industry.
I
have a fabulous agent at The Aponte Agency, Victoria Lea, and am on submission.
I have been pubbed in small press, mid size press and I self pub as well. I
write out of the box—which is where my cortex lives.
I
love writing. Those three words are why we do it. Why no matter where or how
it’s about words to page. Or thoughts let free.
If
your book was to be made into a movie, who would you cast as the leads?
Since
the whole Scarlett Johannson litigation I am reluctant to answer Lol. BUT I
describe no actors in my book, so I should be safe.
For
BONESEEKER: Henry - a cross between Robert Pattinson and Dan Stevens.
For
Arabella: Ellen Paige. For Watson and Holmes…well, who else? That seems
elementary.
If
you had a time machine, which era would you go back to and why?
I
will say 1900’s. It’s probably the only era I and my transient lack of filter
and complete candor, could survive without ending up like Anne Boleyn.
What
life advice do you wish you’d been given sooner?
Do
not be afraid. Embrace difference in yourself and others. Wherever possible,
live a life of gratitude and purpose.
Where
do you write best?
It
really depends on the day, and what the ole neurons and synapses choose to do.
Sometimes it’s natural as breathing other days, Chinese water torture. Either
on my deck or hidden in an alcove of Panera when the snowflakes fall.
What
was the last book you read, and what were your thoughts on it?
I
have the standard near-toppling TBR pile, like everyone else—but the most
recent was The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle.
Amish
dystopian. Do not judge LOL, it was utterly fabulous—the writing had a literary
quality with enough grit and scare to make it wonderfully unique.
What other genre would you write and why?
I
have tried my hand at all that I am capable of…but I honestly feel at home in
fantasy-historical-romantic elements. I could do straight historical or
historical romance. I read all over the place from horror to contemporary.

Born and raised in western Pennsylvania, Brynn Chapman is the daughter of two teachers. Her writing reflects her passions: science, history and love—not necessarily in that order. In real life, the geek gene runs strong in her family, as does the Asperger’s syndrome.
Her writing reflects her experience as a pediatric therapist and her interactions with society’s downtrodden. In fiction, she’s a strong believer in underdogs and happily-ever-afters. She also writes non-fiction and lectures on the subjects of autism and sensory integration and is a medical contributor to online journal The Age of Autism.
